Habitat management and creation of a habitat network within vineyards of the Nußberg (Vienna).

Within the project the distribution of the critically endangered Green Lizard (Lacerta viridis) will be analysed. Habitat loss due to vegetation overgrow is one of the most obvious, but also habitat fragmentation and isolation will become a real danger for the isolated population in the northwest of Vienna. On the basis of these data a habitat network will be created and realized in close cooperation with farmers. Accompanying public relations ensures the sustainability of this three years project.
