Geodetic Survey of the Neusiedler See – Hanságkanal System based on hydrographic echo sounding

Hydrographic surveying of lake Neusiedlersee: Sedimentlayers and lakebed topography will me measured using subbottom profiler and single beam echo sounder. Information abou the morphology of the lakebed will be delivered by sidescan sonar image mosaics. Surveying of the entire area was undertaken using single-beam sounding along predefined survey lines. Echo sounder system: Multi-frequency single-beam echo sounding system with 15 kHz, 200 kHz and 38 kHz transducer and a double 200 kHz side-scan transducer. Sedimentlayer information will be obtained using a parametric echosounding system with a frequency of ~ 8kHz.
