Effect of diamant electrolyte water on spore germination and mycelium development of plant pathogenic fungi
Abstract
By the use of diamond electrodes aqueous solutions can have a cleansing and disinfecting effect based on the principle of anodic oxidation. Currently, especially the treatment of drinking water, process wastewater is of main interest. The disinfectant properties of aqueous solutions gained by diamond electrodes open up entry points for other potential applications such as the elimination of plant pathogenic organisms in agriculture and horticulture. Therefore in the scope of a feasibility study various bioassays with plant pathogenic fungi will be established based on spore germination and fungal development.
