Abstract
The project SAM shall support the development of a new research field which is interdisciplinary between waste water treatment and bioenergy production. Production concepts shall be developed which apply microalgae for the treatment of waste water while utilizing the algal biomass as a substance or as an energy carrier. Based on the project results, subsequent R&D shall develop respective technologies.
