Integrated Pest Management in Museums, Archives and Libraries

This international conference on museum pest and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in museums, storage depots, archives, libraries and historic buildings like palaces aims to exchange scientific results and knowledge between researchers and museum personal working in this field. IPM is an important part of preventive conservation for art museums, natural history- and ethnological collections. At the conference three large topics will be presented and discussed: IPM concepts and experiences, treatment methods used today and biology of pest species. Besides the conference there will be a two day IPM course, three excursions, a reception and the conference dinner. Location of teh conference will be the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
