Documentary: “Two years after the landslide event 2010 in the Kleinsölk valley (nature park Sölktäler, Styria)”
- Lebensraum und Landschaft
Abstract
2010 destroyed a severe landslide disaster in the Kleinsölk valley 220ha high altitude pastures. 150ha have been recovered since then. In the framework of this project a documentary is shot about the event two years ago. Main themes of the film concern high altitude pasture management and revitalization of the relevant areas, the handling with such natural catastrophes as well as the question of whether and how such events can be avoided. In addition to eye-witnesses and victims, experts come to speak. Apart of that the research project "Successional studies after debris flows on alpine pastures in the nature park of the community Kleinsölk" from which the film is an extension, will be presented cinematically. The documentary will be shown at the nature park museum in the castle Großsölk and in various alp huts in the Kleinsölk valley. PROJECT PARTNER: SEBASTIAN POSTL - Multimedia Services BOKU
