SEDRIVER
Abstract
Focus of the SEDRIVER project is given on possible climate change impacts on discharge in alpine rivers. Discharge and possible changes of the flow magnitude and/or duration is important for both, the sediment transport and the instream habitats. Hence, aim of the project is to determine on the one hand the habitats and the habitat requirements of different life stages of brown trout (target species) and on the other hand changes of these habitats due to possible climate induced changes of flow. In the framework of the project habitat modelling will be used as integrative tool on various scales (micro- / mesoscale) to quantify those possible impacts.
