Benchmarking of Austrian Waste Management

The Austrian Waste Management is performed at a high level with modern strategies and technologies. The question arises how waste managemetn should be performed and developed in future. By means of benchmarking assessment is should be clarified if the main targets of the Austrian waste legislation are achieved, at which costs and if there is potential to optimise the situation with respect to cost efficiency. The study shall act as a basis for further strategic development and decision making in waste management in Austria.
