Career
- 2013 June 2013: habilitation colloquium "Alpine plant life in an era of anthropogenic climate change: Observed shifts of biodiversity patterns in the Alps and on mountain summits across Europe"
- 2013 from July 2013: head of the GLORIA coordination and vice-chair of the IGF (Institute of Interdisciplinary Mountain Research, ÖAW) and the head of its division “GLORIA – Ecology and Climate Change Impact Monitoring”.
- 2007 employed at the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Mountain Research: Man and the Environment (IGF) as senior researcher and for the coordination of the GLORIA network.
- 2005 Scientific co-ordinator of the international GLORIA network (Global Observation Research Initiative in Alpine Environments); implementation of a world-wide site-based monitoring network (more than 120 sites in Feb. 2014), various research trips in Europe, Asia, N- and S-America, Africa, Australasia.
