This master thesis analyses the spatial and temporal variability of bedload transport. The measurements took place in Dellach (Carinthia) at the Drau River, where a new bedload monitoring system was installed. A main subject of the master thesis was to develop a bedload measuring system consisting of several geophones and bedload traps. One of the traps is removable between floods to ensure measurement results during flood periods. To gather data of hydraulic boundary conditions measurements and analysis of flow velocity and a geodetic survey were perfomed. To analyse the monitoring results of the geophones calibration-measurement with the Large-Helley-Smith Sampler have to be executed. The master thesis also gives an overview of the required calibration-measurements. The results demonstrate the spatial-temporal variability of bedload transport. Aim of the chosen configuration of the bedload measuring system is to perform an automatic continuous bedload transport monitoring. This enables to compare recorded data with calculated values (calculation based on bedload transport formulas).
