Abstract:

The presented Thesis work consists of two parts. The first one is an introduction in MATHCAD for beginners. One of the aims of this thesis is to provide the reader with a basic knowledge of MATHCAD, strong emphasis is laid on examples which are described in detail. In the 2nd part, MATHCAD¿s applicability to hydraulics is investigated. For this purpose, worksheets for the 6 basic cases for calculation of fluid flow in pipes are provided.
