The aim of this master thesis is, to make an energy-economic analysis of a heatpump system. The collectors laid vertically and not horizontally in the soil. This is not conventional for a brine/water heat pump. The collector field divided into 11 circles of 30 modules with a size of 60 cm x 60cm. The trial period is 5,5 years, from July 2011 to February 2017. For the analysis, the annual work number and the coefficient of performance (COP) were calculated. Subsequently, these resultants compared with other studies. The calculations based on power and energy measurements on the system. The calculated annual number is 4,04 and coincides with the data of other heatpumps. The COP of this system is in the lower range, compared to the literature. Furthermore, the effects from a near surface geothermal plant on the vegetation are analysed. For this analysis, temperature near the collectors and offside from the collectors are measured. These measurements show an average of around 20.000 MJ of absolute energy extracted from the spoil per winter period. This leads to a temperature difference of max. 5 °C in the soil. The results coincide with similar studies. This change leads to a delayed plant sprout from a few days to 2 weeks.
