This thesis contains research on dimensional stability and selected mechanical properties of PMDI bonded Oriented Strand Board (OSB 8000) compared to other wood based products. Moisture content change dominated the linear expansion, whereas temperture has only little effect. Furthermore a water inleakage was simulated and modulus of elasticity, shear modulus and modulus of rupture of OSB 8000, plywood and 3-layered solid wood panel were determined. An increase in moisture led to a reduction of tested mechanical properties. Additionally, shear tests on wet OSB and plywood were performed and compared to dry specimens.
