Abstract:
The increasing occupational traffic, goods traffic and individual traffic have led to a major need in noise prevention measures, which should lower the felt noise emissions to a legally prescribed level. The aim of the research project "Living noise barrier by geosynthetics reinforced soil wall" is the use of recycling materials as a fillmaterial in geotextil- reinforced earth supporting con-structions as an alternative to conventional noise prevention constructions. Rare dumpsite space and high dumping-costs can be saved by the use of recycled building materials. This diploma thesis describes the construction process of each segment of the noise barrier as well as the applied supporting systems. Furthermore the costs of each system are deter-mined and used as a base for the economical comparison with conventional noise barriers.
