Abstract:
The increasing occupational traffic, goods traffic and individual traffic have led to a major need in noise prevention measures, which should lower the felt noise emissions to a legally prescribed level. The aim of the research project "Living noise barrier by geosynthetics reinforced soil wall" is the use of recycling materials as a fillmaterial in geotextil- reinforced earth supporting constructions as an alternative to conventional noise prevention constructions. Rare dumpsite space and high dumping-costs can be saved by the use of recycled building materials. This diploma thesis deals with waste management considerations regarding the use of recycling products, especially recycled mineral structural engineering rest masses, and with the corresponding legal framework. Furthermore, the installation materials (fillmaterial and geotextiles) used in the research project, have been examined in the lab and the results have been documented. Also the results of external investigations have been analyzed concerning the juridical framework.
