Leitbild
Das Institut für Forstentomologie, Forstpathologie und Forstschutz vertritt die Fachgebiete Forstentomologie, Forstpathologie und Forstschutz, im speziellen die Biologie, Ökologie, Taxonomie, Genetik und Populationsdynamik tierischer, pflanzlicher und mikrobieller Schaderreger und deren Antagonisten, ökosystemare Aspekte des Forstschutzes, biologische und prophylaktisch-ökologische Waldschutzstrategien. Das IFFF – BOKU Wien vertritt weiters die Bereiche Holzschädlinge (holzzerstörende Bauholzinsekten und -pilze) und Holzschutz (baulich –konstruktiver Holzschutz, chemischer Holzschutz) in Forschung und Lehre.
