Research Focus

Originally trained as a mathematician specializing in probability and statistics, I gained exposure to microbiology and mucosal immunology during a postdoc. This interdisciplinary training enables me to situate mathematical problems within their experimental and biological context. I enjoy working at the interface of theory and application. My current work focuses on probabilistic models and statistical inference methods for population genetics, quantitative immunology, and microbiome dynamics in human and agricultural systems.
