Research Focus
Instruments of environmental planning (SEA, EIA,...) and their methodological and content-related development. Adaptation to climate change and its mitigation in the field of environmental, spatial and landscape planning through integrative and interdisciplinary planning approaches, which include, for example, integration through environmental planning instruments as well as vertical and horizontal cooperation in spatial planning in the identification and implementation of measures. Digitalization and in particular AI supported data collection, analysis and interpretation in environmental and nature conservation planning (focus species protection and biodiversity). Interdependence between humans and nature and its impact on human health and individual well-being, with a focus on cultural differences and the impact of lifestyle changes, e.g. during a pandemic. Perception of climate change and its risks to well-being and health (e.g. climate anxiety) in a cross-national comparison
