Workshop Green Care WALD
Abstract
It is assumed that a stay in a forest has positive effects on human health and well-being. The effects of such a stay on humans could be on the cognitive, emotional and physical level. Within the project "Forests and human health – a literature review" a comprehensive review about existing research on this topic has been pointed out. The aim of this ongoing project is the development of recommendations how the scientific knowledge can be integrated in already existing forastal traing courses. The project is in co-operation with the Medical University Vienna, Institute of Environmental Health and the Federal Research Centre for Forests.
