Evaluation of the preliminary flood risk assessment according to Eu directive 2007/60/EC

Due to the implementation of the EU floods directive (EU 2007/60/EC) preliminary flood risk maps were compiled for Austria on the national scale. The preliminary assessment will be evaluated according to the planned revision processes. The major focus is on the uncertainties because of data availability, and a sensitivity assessment with respect to new data available on the Austrian national level. A method shall be proposed how these new data may be used to increase the siginifcance of the results and to show the confidence. Finally, possilibities of automated data processing within the existing environment will be made.
