Abstract
The results from field trials in two different regions deliver basic information for the calculation of the profitability of cultivating Sida. Different attempts concerning planting or sowing, time of harvest, etc. are used to define models for calculating the gross margin of different production systems and different use of the produced biomass. The comparison with other typical energy crops which serve biogas or Bioethanol as a raw material gives instructions whether Sida is competitive or not.
