With this large-scale-online survey, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences of Vienna (BOKU, Institute of Landscape Development, Recreation and Conservation Planning), the University of Milan (Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences) and the Marie Curie- Skłodowska University of Lublin (UMCS, Department of Regional Geography and Tourism) want to investigate people's emotional, physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing and health related to contact with nature during the SARS-CoV-2-pandemic and impacts on their travel and recreational behaviour as well as possible lifestyle changes induced by the experiences made during this special period. In particular, the influence of the diverse management approaches in the countries and lock-down situation/duration of lock-downs will be subject to detailed analysis as well as the role of nature and green areas under this exceptional situation. The survey involves a larger number of European countries to allow a broad comparison of management approaches and cultural differences of the the human-nature-relationship under special conditions.
