UNDERSTANDING THE GLOBAL VALUE CHAIN FOR COFFEE FROM AN INTERSECTIONAL PERSPECTIVE: Tracing value between Colombia, Austria and Germany
Abstract
This project focuses will study differentiated coffee value chains from an intersectional perspective. The intersectional analysis aims to visualize how actors create, appropriate and distribute value along the nodes of the differentiated coffee global value chain (GVC). In the context of an increasing interest in a more ethical coffee supply and consumption, this research project is relevant because its approach is designed to create a more thorough understanding of GVC for coffee by tracking where and how value is created and extracted.
