Views on the use of organic recycling derivates (sewage sludge, organic compost) in forests.
Abstract
A literature-study on ecologically relevant impacts of organic waste recycling products used in forest land management on soil properties and vegetation is carried out. Practical soil experiments (percolation studies) for quantification of the influence of organic wastes on phyical and chemical soil properties and soil water are established. A pot experiment for proving the applicability of organic wastes as soil amendments and on growth and mineral nutrition of spruce trees is established.
