River research project Piesting - sector 'Regional Planning'.

The river research project aims to figure out the hydroelectric potential of the river Piesting in Lower Austria with regard to interests concerning ecology, economy, technical aspects, regional planning, and infrastructure. The research programme of the sector regional planning includes the inventory and evaluation of land uses in the area affected by the river, to outline the interdependence of the development of the valley area with the river, and the elaboration of a sectoral regional planning model for the area affected by the river.
