Endocrine disruptors (Hormonic active compounds) are internationally highly discussed environmental pollutants. The whole project consists of 4 parts: 1. Monitoring 2. Bioindication with fish and yeast-cell test 3.Risk assessment 4. Risk management Our special emphasis are in part 4. In this part waste water and drinking water treatment processes will be investigated to which extent they will eliminate or biuld up selected compound and how the biological activity is affected. Selected substances are: NP and NP(1)EO, NP(2)EO, NP(1)EC, NP(2)EC, Bisphenol A, 17ß-estradiol and metabolites and EE2. For waste water treatment a model will be suggested. Investigation in terms of drinking water treatment include adsorption, flocculation and chlorination.
