Evaluation of the cost benefit for the wastewater treatment plants situated at the Russbach and Stempfelbach due to a higher flow rate of the recipient.

The Marchfeldkanalgesellschaft floods the Russbach and Stempfelbach with addition of Danube water. Therefore the flow rate of these two recipients is much higher than before which results in lower demands for the treatment efficiency of the wastewater treatment plants using the two rivers as recipients. This cost benefit is evaluated within the study and given as yearly benefit for each community situated at the rivers. Immission profiles are the basis of the calculation, taking into consideration the self purification of the rivers.
