WLS Report 53-a: Valley thrusts in the Wagrainer valley: Measures for consolidation and their monitoring, on behalf of the BMLF
Abstract
The goal of the project is to get a bases for a combined geological-hydrological model of the valley thrusts in the Wagrainer valley in order to recognize in time the effectiveness of the defense works already set and to install an appropriate monitoring system. For the monitoring digital data in a data base are adapted and maps are digitized. The data of inclination and movement measurements of slope monitorings, earth pressure and pore water pressure measurements at the dam as well as the level measurement are transferred and updated to the data base. Apart from the measurements point data of the soil are seized by drilling samples along the Wagrainer federal highway in the data base and/or in the GIS. The geologic-geomorphological mappings are digitised with exception of geomorphologic mappings, which are included as georeferenced images. Information of geologic profile sections, channels, water-logging and springs are transfered in GIS. Check dams, road safety devices and drainage are digitized and documented. The contours of situation plans are the basis for the area elevation model, which is improved with detail measurements within the range of the Wagrainer Ache. The monitoring is realized on the GIS platform ArcView.
