Non-timber functions of forests, monetary values and carbon balances for Austria and Germany

The applicability of the physical documentation as proposed by the IEEAF (Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting for Forests) is to be scrutinised and respective amendments are to be proposed. As to the monetary valuation on the national level, the respective prerequisites in terms of data and methods are to be investigated. The monetary value of carbon sequestration is to be assessed for Germany and Austria.
