Impulse-programm water Adapting a rapid microbiological method for the internal operating control at waterworks
Abstract
Measuring the impendance has found an increasing importance within the performance of microbiological investiagations, specially in the assesment of food quality (e.g. milk and meat and their derivates). Its rapid sample processing, automatic control during the investigation as well as an automatic valuation of data has proven, in comparision to conventional culture methods, to be more practical in laboratory. The use of the impendance-method for quality control in drinking water still needs extensive research, specially in the following aspects: - improvement of sensitivity of measuring technique (drinking water contains much less bacteria as e.g. milk derivates) - conspicuously shorter measuring period towards "online" - calibration of obtained results (comparision of data with values given by the austrian food codex)
