Abstract
The project aimed at the analysis of fragments of wood charcoal, originating from 16 roughly dated sediment layers from the Kugelsteinhöhle, Styria (1 subrecent, 6 roman period, 9 pleistocene layers). This was part of an attempt to reconstruct climate and vegetation in the sourrounding of the cave at the time the deposits were formed.
