Abstract
A new model system based on the operational regional weather prediction model ALADIN and on the chemical transport model CAMx is tested for the forecast of surface layer ozone concentrations in northeast Austria during the summers 2005 and 2006. Comparing the model results with measurements, the model is validated and improved for operational application.
