Abstract
The aim of the colobarative project between BOKU University and the hydropower companies Verbund, TIWAG and Illwerke is the analysis of hydropeaking impacts on instream habitats related to various river types. Based on various workpackages, including field measurements (e.g. flow velocity, suspended load transport) and hydrodynamic-numerical modelling (e.g. 1D, 2D, sediment transport) the hypotheses will be tested, that hydropeaking should be adressed related to morphologcial / sedimentological characteristics.
