Abstract
The partly vegetated rampart of the waste disposal site Rautenweg has to be sustainable revegetated and aesthetically integrated into the landscape. A land restoration layer will be attached on the rampart and soil bioengineering techniques are used to create a specific landscape and to improve the slope stability. Specific requirements are necessary from a soil bioengineering and geotechnical point of view. A sustainable approach to solving a problem for the revegetation and stabilization of an alternative recultivation of the waste disposal site Rautenweg will indentified by this research concept. Follow objectives are defined: - Landscape integration covered by an autochthonous vegetation layer of the artificial ramparts at waste disposal site Rautenweg in Vienna. - Supporting effects from the soil bioengineering measures for the structural safety of the slope. - Optimisation of the recultivation layer from a geotechnical and vegetational point of view. - Optimisation of the local regreening techniques and mixture of seeds.
