Metabolomics- 13C flux analysis and metabolite profiling in filamentous fungi

Objective of the project is the development and validation of MS based methods for metabolite profiling in filamentous fungi (amino acids, organic acid, sugar phosphates). For quantification isotopically labelled fungi will be produced and used as internal standard. Moreover, the method spectrum will be complemented by 13C flux analysis. both separation techniques, gas chromatography and liquid chromatography will be employed for the project in combination with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry.
