The hydromorphological characterization of the Nanxi River
Abstract
The hydromorphology plays an important role to assess and support an integrated management of river systems. The Nanxi river is a left bank tributary of the lower Oujiang River, Southeast Zhejiang Province, East China. Its river basin is dominated by high hills and mountains in the west and northwest lowering towards the southeast at its river mouth. The basin area is 2436 km² and the mainstream length is 142 km. The nanxi river is also known as a habitat of the endangered ayu fish which has important economic and ecological functions.
