Abstract
Zwischen dem Institut für Waldökologie, UNI BOKU, und dem RNR-RC (Renewable Natural Resources Research Centre) Jakar, Bhutan, wurde eine Forschungspartnerschaft initiiert. Die Partnerschaft zielt einerseits darauf ab, durch Ausbildung von Waldforschern das Forschungspotential Bhutans im Bereich Waldökologie aufzubauen und zu festigen. Andererseits soll durch die gemeinsame Durchführung von Forschungsprojekten im Nadelwaldgürtel des Landes die Wissensbasis zur Erhaltung der Produktivität und Biodiversität und zur Verhinderung von Degradierungen geschaffen bzw. verbessert werden.
