Energy Balance and Global Warming Potential of Alpine Protective Structures
Abstract
The Project E-protect aims at developing an Environmental Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) model for the field of alpine protective structures considering both, the Cumulative Energy Demand (CED) and the Global Warming Potential (GWP). In course of the project, the de facto life span of conventional and soil bioengineering approaches will be analysed and can be a contribution to effective climate change adaption strategies.
