Development, evaluation and documentation of site-adapted solutions as a basis for sustainable business consulting concepts
Abstract
The topics of combination husbandry/running stables/grazing are currently the subject of much discussion in both organic and conventional dairy farming. The uncertainty is high - conversion solutions are expensive, must be well thought through and also require individual solutions. Stable construction companies usually do not have suitable cost-effective solutions for small businesses or cannot/do not want to serve them. There is a lot of pressure on official consulting. Even an exit from dairy farming is an issue on some farms and must be "well considered and accompanied" to safeguard the management or the farms. The project is intended to make an important contribution to supporting these small-scale farming operations in disadvantaged areas in order to maintain and further develop the multi functionality of these farms. The results of the project contribute to the economic safeguarding and modernization as well as to the improvement of animal husbandry and support the farm development in the mountain areas.
