Long-Term Measurements of Total Ozone and High-Resolution Spectral UV Radiation at Hoher Sonnblick and Groß-Enzersdorf 2019-2029
Abstract
The main aim of the project is to secure the existence and continuous operation of both long-term measurement sites, Hoher Sonnblick and Groß-Enzersdorf, which deliver high-quality data of spectral UV radiation and total ozone. The understanding of the long-term evolution of surface UV radiation and total ozone plays a crucial role for assessing potential beneficial as well as harmful effects on the biosphere, with special regard to implications for human health. Scientific studies of UV radiation and total ozone will be intertwined with medicinal and social sciences.
