Abstract
The research project GreenUrbanClimate investigates roof greening, wall greening and permeable surfaces used as way or road consolidation method. An innovation process should be initiated. The aim of the project is to improve existing and develop new roof greening, wall greening and permeable surfaces methods. Therefore investigations in the fields of Landscape Construction, Spatial Planning, Meteorology and Economy will be done. On different locations in Vienna roof greening, wall greening and permeable surfaces will be investigated comprehensively. By mains of these results the effect of roof greening, wall greening and permeable surfaces on the climate and water balance of urban areas will be simulated.
