Strategic Environmental Assessment for the Program Alpine Space II 2014 - 2020
Abstract
An SEA - Strategic Environmental Assessment - is required also for transnational cohesion policy due to the EU-Directive from 2004. Significant negative impacts on environmental issues are to be identified. Furthermore an assessment of alternatives, mitigation measures and a specific monitoring is adopted. The Alpine Space program 2014 - 2020 is subject to an SEA for the second time. The repetition of the process allows feedback from all stakeholders on improvements or alternation possibilities with regard to the previous assessment period and process. Action research analyses the methological approach as well as the ability to a "process-related learning" by all institutions included in the follow-up.
