Abstract
As research in Austria and other countries has shown, there exist high, but unused waste
heat energy potentials. Types of use with high potential shall be further investigated.
Successful concepts in order to bring projects into realization will be adapted to the situation
in Austria – considering different opportunities with spatial planning concepts to include the
relevant waste water infrastructure – and applied in some test cases. Moreover
dissemination activities (e.g. presentations, website) shall further increase the publicity of this technology.
