- Abstract
- The general objective of the project ENHANCE is to fully realize and to further develop the currently existing scientific potential of the agricultural economists of the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest (USAVMB), particularly with respect to quantitative methods like modelling, simulation, and scientometrics as well as game theory, in order to support FMEIARD’s development as the leading actor in agricultural economics in Romania with a strong European network. This objective will be achieved through the following specific objectives:
1. to establish institutions within FMEIARD which provide incentives to increase the quality of research and teaching as well as broaden international networks beyond the project’s life-time;
2. to create the capacity for cutting edge research on level of the individual staff member and –consequently– at faculty level, through the application of targeted measures (training sessions, summer schools), aiming at the transfer of specific theoretical and methodological know-how and skills, specifically responding to the strengths, weaknesses and resulting development needs of FMEIARD;
3. to strengthen networking and cooperation with international research institutions, through the partnerships within the ENHANCE consortium itself, through a consequent mutual exchange of researchers and through the integration of an international, scientific advisory board.
4. to raise the standards of particularly post-graduate education through the implementation of summer-schools and the exchange of post-graduate researchers;
5. to develop future dissemination and funding acquisition strategies;
6. to develop a system of quality assurance to monitor and measure the progress and success of the collaboration.
