Abstract
The no. of migrants in cities is increasing. Many have deficient social, health and housing conditions and live in urban heat islands. The project’s objective is the reduction of migrants’ vulnerability against urban heat with participatory mixed-methods design. It investigates migrants’attitudes towards climate change, awareness of heat risks, adaptive behavior, comparison to natives; identification of high-risk groups; development of sustainable measures and health information channels with stakeholders, intermediaries and migrants. Final product is a Heat Toolbox.
