Forest Ressource Assessment of the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern in Salzburg
Abstract
The goals of the project are to provide a solide basis for forest ressource assessment in the nationalpark Hohe Tauern in Salzburg. A combination of several monitoring methods and data (soil type, vegetation type, arial photographs,..) will allow to draw a complete picture of the potential natural vegetation. Recommendations for further managament will be derived from the assessment of the forest functions, the naturalness of the forests and the deviation from the actual to the potential natural forest association.
