AlltagsSPUREN (Everyday life tracks) - analysis and activation tools and services for the initiation of sustainable everyday mobility in rural communities
Abstract
Main objectives of the project are the development of a consulting package consisting of an analysis and activation tool for the initiation and promotion of sustainable forms of mobility in everyday life and in leisure time in and with rural communities with about 10,000 inhabitants involving (small) regional ramifications. Here, socio-economic groups and their mobility patterns are taken into account, which are often not considered by common transport planning activities and mobility surveys, such as pedestrian or young people. Target groups of instruments are decision-makers and advisors of municipalities who develop medium to long term innovative solutions in the field of sustainable everyday mobility and who want to trigger behavioural change. The tool aims primarily at raising awareness among the population as well as for initial analysis of the issue in the community. It complements existing tools and service offers. The proposed elements of the tool are: An Analysis module to derive framework conditions for everyday mobility of residents and key figures, which provide information on both existing barriers as well as starting points for mobility. A Scenario module to answer mobility-related questions to future social, environmental and economic challenges based on the identified key figures. An activation module in the form of an interactive Web-dossier "traces of sustainable everyday mobility". This provides in an interactive way: basic knowledge on sustainable mobility, an approach to review specific community history and existing empirical knowledge about sustainable mobility and starting points for the development of local new sustainable mobility strategies. The modules are tested in two pilot communities and optimized.
