Where do fish migrate in Vienna? Innovative methods for assessing the connectivity of running waters in Vienna
Abstract
The overall goal of the project "Where do fish migrate in Vienna?" is the development of new methods for the indirect monitoring of fish migrations in rivers in Vienna and in the surrounding areas. The area of application of these methods is mainly the assessment of the success of present and future measures implemented to restore the connectivity between different important habitats for fish in the Vienna area. Furthermore possibilities to transfer on-site video monitoring data live to the internet as Information for the public, planners, policy makers, schools and universities.
