Abstract

The research deals with policy instruments correlated with the current adaptation and mitigation measures of the forest-based sector in Austria. The objectives are to
-derive policy relevant insights on adaptation and mitigation measures and a future Austrian adaptation strategy.
-identify relevant political possibilities for adaptation and GHG optimised mitigation (forest management, wood use) on the basis of evidence from previous projects on the GHG optimied forest management and wood use (BFW 2015) and scenario outcomes of CareforParis.
-develop policy relevant decision support tools for adaptation and GHG optimised optimised forest management and wood use (BFW 2015)
