Flood documentation and analysis 2016 - Styria
Abstract
The flood season 2016 in Styria was characterized by many local but intense events, whereby a large part can be classified as pluvial flood events. In the project, the flood events are to be analyzed, the causes and initial situations are assigned and determined, as well as damage and damage pictures are assigned to the events. The damages that occur should be analyzed separately for damages in the public sector and damage in the private sector (data base A14 – Meldung von Sofortmaßnahmen und Datenbasis A10 – Privatschäden). The purpose of the analysis is to investigate the damage to be prevented (e.g. by self-care and self-protection measures or measures of spatial planning). Based on the analysis, strategy recommendations are to be drawn up.
